Caroline Sykes
A Cappella Work
Caroline joined the High Point University Offbeats in 2019 as a freshman in college. She immediately fell in love with the collegiate a cappella scene and began arranging for the group. She served as music director for the group for 2 years and during that time, spent over 100+ hours arranging and creating rehearsal plans.
She has created over 30 arrangements and 7 are featured on Impulse, an album the Offbeats released in 2023. She is also featured on this album as the vocal percussionist of 9 songs and as a soloist on Amanda Hurley's arrangement of Maggie Rogers' Light On.
She has also volunteered for the Contemporary A Cappella Society's North Carolina festival, Sojam. She served as hospitality coordinator and assistant competition coordinator during this event.
