Caroline Sykes puts herself intensely into every role she has studied. She has participated in Opera Scene classes as well as performed the roles of the Chauve-Souris and Musicologist in L'enfant et les sortilèges and The Classical Style. She has a passion for both traditional and new modern opera repertoire.

Caroline Sykes has had a love for choral music since middle school. As a former member of multiple church choirs, chamber ensembles, and advanced level auditioned choirs throughout high school and college, Caroline has proven herself as a diverse choral singer and choral soloist.

A Cappella

Caroline joined the High Point University Offbeats in 2019 as a freshman in college. She immediately fell in love with the collegiate a cappella scene and began arranging for the group. She served as music director for the group for 2 years and during that time, spent over 100+ hours arranging and creating rehearsal plans.

She has created over 30 arrangements and 7 are featured on Impulse, an album the Offbeats released in 2023. She is also featured on this album as the vocal percussionist of 9 songs and as a soloist on Amanda Hurley's arrangement of Maggie Rogers' Light On.
